SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit a VAT/TAX Trainee to join a Top 20 award winning chartered accountancy firm with offices in Edinburgh. The successful applicant will be outgoing and resilient, with excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Candidates should be self-motivated, display a positive approach to work and have the ability to get things done. In addition, they should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and be able to develop a clear perception of business requirements, having an awareness of the wider economic context that our clients operate in.

You will train to become a Chartered Tax Adviser, with study towards the ATT and then the CTA qualification. For your studies, we use first-class tuition centres, alongside our own internally developed technical training programmes, to help you prepare for your examinations. This is supported by our dedicated training team who will monitor your progress throughout your studies.

The VAT Trainee Requirements

• Applicants must have a minimum 2:2 degree (expected or obtained) in any discipline
• We also consider applications for tax trainee positions from school leavers with excellent Nat 5's/ GCSE and Higher/A Level results.
• Applicants will not be expected to have prior knowledge or experience with tax.
