The successful Technical Business Analyst will join the company and report directly to the Senior BA and Chief Technology Officer.

Technical Business Analyst Responsibilities:

With a background in Business Analysis, and strong analytical skills, you will:

  • Work with international stakeholders and translate business requirements up and down the chain. You'll need to translate technically language into simpler terms and vice versa, and be aware of who your audience is with each different communication
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to enable swift and accurate communication between teams and departments
  • Understand and be able to coordinate the impact of required changes relating to analytical issues
  • Design, document, and configure workflows whilst also undertaking business process mapping using BPMN, both current and future states
  • Propose system improvements, after acquiring knowledge of emerging functionality and solutions, then contribute to their successful implementation within the businesses where appropriate
  • Perform analytical testing and investigative work
  • Produce technical documentation such as requirements specification, test plan, training documentation, and user stories
  • Spend between 10-20% of your working time travelling to client and company locations spread across the globe, to deal with issues that arise, and potentially at short notice

Technical Business Analyst Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have previous experience of working as a business analyst or in financial services, and ideally:

  • 5+ years in a similar role
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis or similar
  • Experience of producing Visio diagrams, test scripts, and validation rules
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills combined with good attention to detail and the ability to think logically
  • Be self-motivated and have a work ethic of working until the task is complete, not to a 9-to-5 schedule
