Software Manager

Software Manager | Remote working UK only | Java, Go | DevOps

SRGEurope are currently recruiting for a Software Manager to join a leading global technology group. As the Software Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the product roadmap at the highest level of quality. You will work closely with the wider global team to deliver the Product Development agenda and goals.

Software Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage the remote software team in day to day activities

• Design, develop and execute software solutions to address business issues

• Provide project management and technical leadership for every aspect of the software

• Interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed

• Supervise resource allocation to assure attainment of apt business and personnel development goals

• Manage and execute development projects from beginning to finish

• Evaluate projects develop and update schedules plus supervise project status

• Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings

• At least 25% of time will be allocated to coding

Software Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Long-standing and progressive career in Software Engineering

• Consensus building through teamwork and collaboration; we need people who aren't afraid to share their ideas and who want ideas and feedback from their team in return

• Inquisitive and constantly think about how we can improve our processes and produce excellent, high quality solutions for our customers

• Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, client services, project managers and others

• A real team player who is seen as approachable and a positive role model.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high attention to detail.

• Resourceful, action-orientated with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS

• Experience programming languages : Java, .net or Go

• Expertise in front technologies including JavaScript, CSS, Html and libraries such as React Js and Angular

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as:

• Source control (GitHub) and feature branching strategies

• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

• Jira

• Experience with SQL Server/DB2
