Management Accountant | Insurance | Salary c£35 - 45 DOE and qualifications (Part or Fully Qualified applications will be considered) | Gibraltar

SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join an expanding Insurance office based in Gibraltar. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant, nearly qualified or qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA to join a Company that is a Gibraltar market leader within the Insurance market. The successful Management Accountant will be career focussed and possess proven experience of such in their previous positions. All candidates ideally will have a minimum of 2 years accounting expertise in the Insurance sector, however on-site training will be provided by the FC and the accounting team.

Management Accountant Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee Cash Management Functions
• Oversee Claims Paid UK Bank Reconciliation and Management
• Investments - Pack Preparation and Committee Company Secretary to include writing up Minutes and other company secretary duties
• Reinsurance Accounting (monthly submissions to Reinsurers & Large Loss Recoveries) & Annual Renewal Presentation Pack
• IPT Submissions & Corporation Tax
• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for Insurance Company
• Review Property & Holding Accounts
• Qtrly FSC submissions
• Y/E Financial Statements & Audit Process
• Assist with UEL Projections
• Update U/W Triangulation Reports
• Prepare U/W Pack and attend quarterly U/W Meetings
• MI & Analytical Reporting covering claims
• Conduct Claims Paid Internal Audit and follow ups as required by law

Management Accountant Profile:

• ACCA,CIMA or ACA nearly qualified or recently qualified
• Very strong with technical Management Accounting skill set
• Knowledge of Insurance Accounting is essential, can be from Audit experience
• Advanced Excel and Word skills
• Sage experience would be beneficial
