The IT Infrastructure Administrator will join the Infrastructure team in managing the company servers, storage devices and network devices & connections to ensure high availability and security of the supported business applications.

IT Infrastructure Administrator Duties and Responsibilities will include by not be limited to:

  • Manage virtual and physical Windows servers
  • Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and server and workstation patching with SCCM and ESET
  • Ensure the security of the server and network infrastructure by implementing industry best- practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with the company objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Build and deploy new servers on the network as needed
  • Contribute to the configuration of the firm's SAN backup/archive infrastructure whilst ensuring all backups are successfully and safely backed up
  • Remotely deploy Windows Operating Systems using Windows Deployment Service
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware upgrades, patches and reconfigurations
  • Complete Software updates and deployments
  • Monitor environment in server rooms
  • Provide 2nd level support to the firm's Helpdesk Support team as required
  • Other
  • Follow managerial guidelines and instructions & deliver consistent and high quality service
  • Provide on-call IT support

IT Infrastructure Administrator Requirements:

  • 3-5 years technical experience as a System or Network Administrator
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and IT governance is beneficial
  • Experience of administering firewalls / web filters, switches and routers
  • Experience of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems
  • Experience with Active Directory / Group Policy
  • Knowledge of SAN backup solutions
  • Hyper-V experience essential
  • Ability to identify and diagnose errors and resolve these logically in a short time frame
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to integrate and successfully work as part of a team
  • Candidates must hold valid UK or EU passports or the right to work in Gibraltar
