SRGEurope has been appointed to recruit a Game Designer to join one of Irelands' largest game developing companies, after creating and launching there first game back in 2014 which was such a success, our client has decided to create their second title. Would you like to be involved?

As a Game Designer your Responsibilities are:

  • Design and manage the open world level design of our upcoming MMO Strategy game
  • Work with the game design team on building balanced game systems
  • Constantly review and evolve the world design to meet product goals
  • Direct the LiveOps teams in creating effective tournaments and events through world design / changes
  • Create the right location pinch points to achieve strong monetisation KPIs
  • Work closely with the data analysis team to provide detailed visibility of player behaviours
  • Develop next-gen MMORTS mobile games using Unity (for multiple platforms) aiming to be played by millions of daily players
  • Work closely with designers and UX/UI to get thorough specs and flesh out the best way to get new ideas into the game. (Work through storyboards, wireframes, feature specs etc.)
  • Be part of breaking down stories into technical tasks that can be estimated
  • Implement great widgets and UI. Support the UI team on a technical level
  • Champion best practices of game development using Unity3D engine

The Game Designer Candidate should Have

  • Experience in designing levels for large multiplayer game environments - preferably on a Strategy MMO title
  • Experience in modelling with a focus on open world experiences (MMO)
  • Able to work in tools like Excel to analyse and report on game balance issues and suggested fixes
  • Experience working in a similar role in the games industry
  • Excellent communication and team working skills, in order to effectively work with and assist the Game Design and Product teams

While not mandatory, below are some nice to have's:

  • Experience working with a license holder / IP
  • Technical or programming background
  • Understanding of A/B testing and change verification methods
  • Experience in free-to-play system design, including monetisation, retention and engagement
  • Strong knowledge of event driven live operations in mobile games
  • 5+ years of game-dev industry experience (AAA or F2P MMO game-dev experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in developing 3D games using Unity - regrettably we cannot consider applications without Games industry experience
  • Excellent C# (.Net 3.5) skills
  • Very good understanding of real-time rendering and rendering bottlenecks
  • Solid understanding how to write low-latency and low-garbage code in C#
