The Role

SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit an experienced Fraud and Payments Team Lead for an exciting International Gaming company based in Malta. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Fraud and Payments Team Lead will be responsible for daily anti-fraud operations ensuring that the company's revenues are protected and maximized as well as assisting in defining the strategic direction of the fraud prevention area. The Fraud and Payments Team Lead will be responsible for the leadership of the team to provide a best in industry fraud prevention service.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Responsible for the team to ensure all tasks, workload and activities within the fraud and payments team are managed to within defined SLAs
  • Daily line management for the team managers to include, reviewing performance, objective and task setting as well as providing training and development
  • Assist, guide and mentor team colleagues by providing advice with daily activities where appropriate
  • Accountable for the planning and delivery of fraud and payments shift rota to ensure that service levels agreements are met
  • Management of team through performance reviews, appraisals, and where necessary refer for disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Manage and monitor absence, leave and adherence
  • Responsible for reviewing and evaluating current fraud processes & procedures across all digital brands, cross channel and license jurisdictions implementing changes or making recommendations as needed
  • Support the Head of Operations in deciding strategy for the team and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Manage key stakeholders to ensure all fraud and payment related policies are followed across the business
  • Manage highly complex issues relating to customer accounts and raise forward where appropriate to Head of Operations
  • Maintain and deliver all process and procedures (Verifications, Chargebacks, Withdrawals, etc.) to the highest standard
  • Consistently review rule engines to ensure minimum losses and maximum revenue
  • Manage, through leadership with team managers any non-compliance issues within the team
  • Create and raise suspicious activity reports (SARs)

What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role

  • Significant management experience in a fraud prevention environment
  • Significant experience within the online payments' environment either with an operator or payments company essential (Nuvei)
  • Relevant qualification would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience in a digital or cross-channel business desirable
  • Ability to lead, motivate and guide a team
  • Exceptional prioritizing and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Ability to trust own judgment and make logical recommendations
  • Passionate with a natural desire for continuous improvement
