The Role
SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit an experienced Financial Controller/Senior Finance Manager for an online digital company based in their Norwich office (Head Quarters). The company is on a growth trajectory and is looking for an experienced finance professional to help support this growth. The Financial Controller role is on-site, although there is flexibility in working hours with the occasional day working from home. Whilst our client is seeking someone with experience, they will also support training that maybe required. The role reports directly to the CFO based on site in Norwich.

What You Will Be Doing
Monitor the day to day financial operations within the company such as raising sales invoices and posting approved purchase invoices/expenses
Bank reconciliations
Credit control
Ensure the finance system is maintained up to date
Processing payroll reports and an understanding of payroll would be advantageous
Track the performance of the company by being able to prepare management accounts to trial balance level
Post journals as required, accruals, prepayments, month end
Prepare the VAT return each quarter
Present to board and senior leaders in formal meetings
Assist in preparation of the yearend audit file
Liaise with the company accountants for any ad hoc queries
Cash management, understanding of cash flow models
Continually looking to improve processes
Work with other departments within the company to review profitability
Oversee junior members of the finance team as the finance team grows
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role
Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline/qualification
Ideally 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller/Senior Finance Manager
Experience of Xero is ideal
Knowledge of UK payroll, including benefits in kind
Knowledge of VAT
Solid communication skills both written and verbal
Multi tasking
Analytical skills
Critical thinking
Problem solving skills
Integrity, honesty
Able to communicate effectively and present to a senior leadership team
Stand in for the CFO when required
