SRGEurope are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to work for an International client with a base in Gibraltar. Are you considering that next Finance career move within the Insurance Sector? Are you an experienced Finance Manager with Solvency II reporting knowledge?

Our Insurance client is looking to recruit a career focussed Finance Manager to join its expanding Office in Gibraltar. The Company also has offices in the UK and Asia. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Finance Director based in the UK office. The successful Finance Manager will be able to demonstrate their commitment to such a role, have excellent attention to detail and have a sound knowledge of Insurance Accounting principles.

The Finance Manager Responsibilities but not confined to:

  • Financial and Operational analysis - implement, document and monitor adherence to finance process and recommend process improvement
  • Financial Reporting - prepare internal and external financial reports and returns for timely reporting to management, Board and Regulator
  • Management Accounts
  • Measure and monitor key financials, savings and expenditures
  • Preparation of Budgets
  • Oversight and control of local expenses and payments
  • Ensuring adherence to local taxation obligations
  • Ensure adherence with compliance and regulatory obligations including Solvency II
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors

The Finance Manager profile:

  • At least 5+ years of working experience in finance, accounting, controlling and reporting ideally in the (re)insurance business
  • Formal accounting qualification desirable ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Language skills: English fluent written and spoken, Maltese and/or any other European language desirable
  • Very good comprehension of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Flair for numbers and analytical skills
  • Diligent and accurate working style, detail-oriented
  • Good verbal and written business communication skills
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Excellent team player who enjoys being part of an international team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good planning and organizational skills
