Finance Manager - Online Gaming - Gibraltar

SRGEurope are recruiting for a technical and commercial Finance Manager for a dynamic Online Gaming sector business based in Gibraltar. You will be a qualified ACCA or ACA ideally, experience from the Online Gaming sector is not essential.

The role is a Financial Accounting Manager in its essence, hence candidates applying must have a strong financial accounting skillset with current working knowledge of IFRS regulations.

The appointed Finance Manager duties and responsibilities are but not confined to:

  • Manage the day to day running of the finance department including but not restricted to accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and cash flow management.

  • Manage the month-end financial close process to ensure that all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.

  • All manual accounting adjustments are entered and relevant checks and reviews are in place to ensure integrity of data. Ensure all monthly reconciliations are completed and reviewed in accordance with internal timetable.

  • Monthly production and review of individual entity and group consolidated balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. Investigation and explanation of material variances to the Head of Accounting.

  • Review current internal controls to ensure fitness for purpose.

  • Facilitate the timely submission of external returns including but not limited to corporation tax, VAT, gaming duty, regulatory returns.

  • Technical lead on interpretation and implementation of accounting standards, keeping up to date with new standards and interpretations and ensuring that they are consistently and appropriately applied to group accounting records.

  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards and other legislation.

  • Key contributor to the audit process capable of managing the relationship with external auditors and leading the audit process.

  • Manage and develop team members, enabling an environment for learning and skill development with 1 to 1 training sessions to encourage and motivate.

  • Identify efficiency opportunities within your team and support change.

  • Deputise for the Head of Accounting as required.

  • Any other reasonable requests by management.

The appointed Finance Manager profile is as follows:

  • Member of a professional accountancy body (ideally ACA, ACCA). This is essential

  • It is required to prove that you have strong technical accounting abilities and sound working knowledge of current IFRSs

  • Able to demonstrate from previous work experience recruiting, managing and developing a team

  • Commercial awareness

  • Online gaming experience is an ideal but not essential

  • Audit background is ideal but not essential
