SRG are working with an international gaming company who are looking for a Director of Compliance. The Director of Compliance will hold an important leadership role within the company and be responsible for leading the regulatory compliance efforts that affect our company. The role will report to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and the wider board, and you will work collaboratively across multiple teams within both B2C and B2B divisions across multiple territories and locations.

Director of Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure business compliance with all relevant regulatory codes, licence requirements and legislation.

• Understand, monitor and review all developments within the regulatory environment, identify development needs within the business and ensure any requirements are communicated and implemented in a timely manner.

• Manage project scopes by ensuring that there is alignment between business and regulatory requirements.

• Be one of the main points of contact with regulatory bodies and any other related competent authorities (specifically including the Gambling Commission of Great Britain, the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and the Advertising Standards Agency, and the Malta Gaming Authority) and you will need to establish relationships with key individuals in relation to regulatory compliance matters.

• Respond to queries and information requests from the Gambling Commission and ensure accurate regulatory returns and submissions are provided.

• Work with the wider Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to continuously improve the businesses AML and SG risk models to ensure they remain effective.

• Be responsible for Safer Gambling obligations, AML, and other compliance related requirements within the markets in which we operate and drive these initiatives across the business.

• Support periphery Compliance functions such as Data Protection and Fraud & Security as needed.

Director of Compliance requirements:

• Strong experience in regulatory compliance and a proven track record of working with remote gaming companies and/or remote gaming regulatory authorities and governing bodies. Will consider highly regulated environments

• Has an ability to understand and interpret both primary and secondary legislation and the impact it may have on the industry.

• Fully understands the concepts of AML/RG/DP, and other corporate and compliance related rules and regulations.

• Has relevant Legal, Internal Audit, or Compliance qualifications. ICA Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) an advantage.

• A foundation understanding of business information systems and Internet technology specifically as it applies to the online gaming sector.

• Experience of leading a team of 20+ people and enthusiastic about working in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
