SRGEurope has been appointed to recruit an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a company in Gibraltar.
DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:
- Automate processes & daily routines
- Research, evaluate & develop new tools to improve user efficiency.
- Influence colleagues about the right way to build & release software.
- Manage the adoption of tooling & industry best practices among development & operations teams.
- Work with development, operations, network, testing & other teams to identify bottlenecks on the path to production.
- Deploying highly available, scalable, resilient, maintainable, monitored systems & services.
- Ensure that issues are resolved rapidly & with minimum disruption by providing the appropriate support to team members.
- Anticipate the need for new tools, resources, & automation.
DevOps Engineer Requirements:
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Candidate must hold UK or an EU passport / Right to work in Gibraltar
- Experienced in a similar DevOps role
- Knowledge of best practices & highly experienced with all aspects of managing software, containers, datacentres & clouds.
- Experienced building tools & environments that allow development teams to focus on software.
- High level of knowledge about software engineering fundamentals.
- Highly experienced with highly scalable & available enterprise environments, applications, & components, including but not limited to μservices, architectures, APIs, data grids, mysql, no-sql (hazelcast, oracle, mysql, redis, mongodb), message brokers (kafka, activemq), load-balancing, proxy servers, alerting, monitoring (prometheus, opentsdb), containers (docker), automated provisioning (terraform, ansible, vault), cloud/hybrid architectures.
