Compliance Officer - Financial Services | Competitive Salary c£50k + benefits package | Gibraltar

SRGEurope has been appointed to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer to join a well-established Financial Services company with a base in Gibraltar. Our client is premier class, professional and has an incredibly talented work-force. The Compliance Officer will assist and support the Compliance team in providing a robust and effective Compliance control framework.

Compliance Officer Responsibilities:

• Provide ad-hoc regulatory and compliance advisory to stakeholders in the business
• Perform customer due diligence checks on new and existing clients as per local regulations and in accordance with AML standards
• Assist in the performance of regulatory breach assessment for incidents occurring in the business
• Support complaint investigation and conclusion
• Provide periodic updates / reporting to group, including internal stakeholders locally and at group level
• Support the control and execution of compliance monitoring plans
• Assist with regulatory project impact assessments and implementation
• Support the control and execution of data protection and tax compliance frameworks
• Support the review of existing control requirements and procedures
• Support the review of commercial and contractual material of the business
• Risk assessment and escalation of risks in relation to monitoring and controls
• Provision of support to any additional compliance topics and projects and any ad-hoc reporting
• Respond to internal and external requests for information

Compliance Officer Requirements:

• Familiarity with local and EU regulations within financial markets
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task (manage several issues, setting priorities)
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexibility in the handling of changing work loads
• Business and service minded attitude
• Readiness to work independently on complex issues
• Strong communication skills
