The Role
SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer for a growing Insurance company based in the sunshine jurisdiction of Gibraltar. The Compliance Officer will assist with compliance responsibilities for the Gibraltar office in respect of the company's own requirements, together with compliance responsibilities for a portfolio of insurance companies and intermediary clients.
Candidates welcome to apply can have approx. 2 years' experience in a regulated sector including Banking, Financial Services or Insurance. Our client will also review candidates with 4 to 5 years plus experience from a regulated environment. Full training re Insurance where required will be provided.

What You Will Be Doing
- Preparation and presentation of Compliance reports to the Board and intermediary clients
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory applications for prospective insurance companies and intermediaries
- Ensure correct registration and notification to relevant authorities
- Operate and maintain Compliance Monitoring Programmes for the company and clients
- Undertake due diligence checks and risk profiling of existing and prospective new clients
- Undertake due diligence checks and fitness and propriety assessments of existing and prospective outsourced service providers of clients
- Keep up to date with ongoing technical regulatory/compliance queries from colleagues within the company and our clients
- Report to and assist the Head of Compliance and Deputy Head of Compliance with client on boarding and ongoing monitoring, ensuring that the company and client companies have all required policies and procedures and terms of reference in place
- Attend and actively participate in internal meetings initiatives
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role
- Reliable, hard-working, ethical and diligent
- Ideally a minimum of 18 months to 2 years' experience in similar compliance role in a regulated sector would be preferable, that can be Banking, Financial services or Insurance
- Some understanding of the GFSC regulatory regime and compliance requirements for the company and clients
- Some understanding of Gibraltar AML/CFT legislation and regulations and compliance requirements for companies involved in the insurance industry
- Problem solving and trouble shooting
- Strong communicator and presenter (written and verbal)
- Ability to work happily within a team and share the workload efficiently
