SRGEurope has been appointed to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller, candidates will ideally be part qualified ACCA, CIMA or the equivalent for an International Online Gaming Company based in Gibraltar.
The successful Assistant Financial Controller will work closely with the Senior FC, FP&A, and act as a Finance Business Partner to the HR Department to monitor the business requirements as it grows. The key responsibility of the role will be to identify, maintain and evaluate people related data and information and undertake periodic reporting of key KPI's to the business around this cost area. Financial modelling and advanced reporting skills are essential.
Prepare regular reporting and analysis by using headcount data sources such as payroll. Reports should include key KPI's/dashboards and relevant and insightful commentary, ensuring that the data is accurate and delivered according to deadlines
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place over our headcount process across allocations
Support the Senior FC and FP&A team in the budgeting, planning and reforecasting of all people related costs by identifying and modelling key people costs by utilising a number of approaches including but not limited to current/ historic trends and regression analysis.
Work with other members of the Financial Control, FP&A team and the wider business to develop tools, models and processes that improve the control over people related costs
- Perform the periodic detailed review of actual people costs vs budget or reforecast, highlighting variances and trends, to then complete detailed analysis for the departmental cost centre reports presented to Board
- Support ad-hoc analysis, in conjunction with key stakeholders using past trends and relevant data to collate future forecasts
Work closely with HR to model impacts of any changes in reward strategy, bonus scheme changes, or wider organisational change as well as providing general financial support helping them to understand their cost base in detail and identifying areas of opportunity for cost savings
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and other members of the finance team
Part-Qualified accountant (ideally CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
Understanding of financial reporting
Excellent Excel skills and proven track record in Data analysis for problem solving
Experience using databases and dashboards
Previous experience of budgeting, business planning and forecasting
Ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data in a fast paced environment
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Good communications skills, both verbal and written
