The Role
SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit a technically experienced Investment Accountant for a long established Insurance company with one of their key offices based in Gibraltar. The Investment Accountant will be a key member of the Finance Team in Gibraltar, you will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and high level technical accounting skills.

What You Will Be Doing
- Ownership of the IFRS9 investment accounting for both of the UK insurance entities
- Finance Group lead on investment accounting policy and procedures
- Play a key role in the selection and implementation of a new automated investment accounting solution, this project will be managed by the Investment Accountant from inception to implementation
- Work closely with the Investment Management team to create and implement new reporting for the Investments Committee and insurance entity Boards and to understand the implication of strategy on financial results.
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role
- Strong academic record particularly in Maths and similar related subjects
- Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA or similar (Candidates who are part qualified with this experience will also be considered and study support provided)
- Advanced excel skills, ideally to basic macro level
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years working in a technical financial role
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work with multi jurisdiction employees
